Picnic in the Park, Friday 6 November '09 Nov '09, Issue 4

Dear Don,

Our Picnic in the Park event is back for Round Two, and we'll be bringing a bit of pre-Christmas cheer to the Sydney CBD this Friday!

Our nifty little Caddy is heading straight to Wynyard Park with your free sandwich. All you have to do is bring yourself, a happy TGIF attitude, and enjoy your free Brasserie Bread sandwich and Christmas Fruit Mince Tart in the park. Bring a colleague, but places (and food) at the picnic are limited, so be sure to register here.

Aids Trust Food & Wine Fair

On Saturday October 31, Brasserie Bread hosted a Mountain Sausage Sizzle at the Aids Trust annual fundraiser in Hyde Park. With the event doubling up as the farewell marquee event for the Sydney International Food Festival, expectations were running high! A beautiful sunny Sydney's day drew a huge crowd and everyone brought with them a monstrous appetite for good food and a great time...(full story)

Traditional Fruit Mince Tart Our unique recipe consists of a mixture of dried and candied fruits, figs, sultanas & currants, almonds, apples, and spices heavily macerated with brandy, in a short flaky pastry with a rich buttery flavour. May contain traces of sesame.

Christmas Kitchen for Kids
Candy canes, Jelly Beans, icing fondant & chocolate chips galore...not to mention Brasserie Bread's freshly baked Gingerbread shapes!

Each child will receive a pack of four freshly-baked Gingerbread shapes, which they will decorate using a scrumptious array of Christmas sweets & treats. The 30 minute Gingerbread sessions will take place in the Training Room next to the Cafe and will be supervised by one of our bakers.
